Feathers on South Dixie Lane

Yes, we have feathers today! Lots of them...but not attached to anything ALIVE. :)

I just had to share this excellent photo Allyson took of a pair of feather earrings she made. She got this photo - somehow - in our very sorry lighting in the new area we're trying to set up for photographing our jewelry. I thought it turned out spectacular!

#49 Thoughts of You

It's time Niko got a little limelight here. Niko is the shy one of the three kittens, and it's hard to get photos of him. On the day when this photo was taken, he was actually being somewhat cooperative. He loved sitting with these feathers. For about 10 seconds....LOL. I got this good shot of him completely by accident.

For this image, I did a greeting card that reads: Thoughts of you softly come to me, like feathers that fall from the sky. CARD INSIDE: Hope you're doing well.

#43 Stop & Smell the Feathers

Over the weekend, we've had some fabulous photo sessions with the kittens, plus Allyson has acquired some great shots of some other cool things. Our neighbor Bill came over with his big professional camera and spent quite a bit of time photographing the kittens. These are two of his photos of Oreo. I've named this design "Stop and Smell the Feathers", and these two pictures are now on 3 different cards in my shop.

The feather toy is actually a Christmas ornament I picked up at Hobby Lobby, and Oreo is quite taken with it! She loves to pick it up and run off with it!

I have several more photos to share from this session, and will get them uploaded soon. Bill got some great shots of them!
