I want in the house. And I want in NOW!

I'm at the door...but no one's answering. I want in the house!

Maybe if I rattle it down here on the bottom... I want in the house!

I've rattled it. Now I'll listen for footsteps...

Man, this is NOT working. Rowdy! Rowdy come help me out here!

Rowdy, do you see anything? Are they coming to the door?

Nope.

I guess we'll have to get more drastic. Rowdy, how sharp are your claws? Can you take down this brick wall?

I dunno, Oreo...I think we might get in big trouble if I try that...

Innocence Lost

After yesterday's events...I have decided "Innocence Lost" is the perfect title for this photo Bill captured of Oreo.

What's Thanksgiving without a little bird?

I was thinking more along the lines of TURKEY for Thanksgiving day. However, the kittens couldn't wait. Actually it began with their mother. I saw the whole thing happen, and of COURSE I didn't have the camera to capture all of this. Here's the first part of the story...not photographed. I'm outside sipping on coffee and hear a big WHAM by my neighbor's outbuilding. As I look over there, I see a bird fall from beside the building's little window. And Boots...she came out of nowhere and POUNCE. She had it in her mouth and took off running. The kittens...who were on the carport with me, took off after her, and Oreo managed to steal the catch from her mother. By now I had the camera.

My photo session began with capturing Oreo "in flight" with the catch. Those little legs were just-a-gettin' it. I got a bird...I got a bird...I got a bird...

Here she stops to show off her catch to me. Look Mom....I gots a bird. And you ain't gettin' it.

She decided to move further away from me. Notice the evil eye she's giving me. Don't even THINK about takin' this bird away from me!

Rowdy decides to get in on the action, but Oreo is having no part of him being around. Boy...you touch this bird and your face will be smacked from here to the street.....grrrrrr.

Nikko is oblivious. She decides to sit on a log and sharpen her claws. I don't understand what all the excitement's about....

Oreo has a new moustache. Hey mom, these feathers tickle my nose...

The others surround her waiting to see if they can have a turn. They ain't gettin' this bird...

She escapes through the brush and emerges on the other side, bird in mouth. They ain't gettin' this bird...

I'm gonna run off and hide...they'll never find me....

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's a bird...it's a plane...it's SUPER KITTY!

That's not super kitty...you silly kitten...it's Santa Claus! Don't you know Christmas is coming? The big guy in red is testing out his sleigh...he's going to bring us lots of goodies!

The Kittens are Cold!

Brrrrrr....it's cold here in TN! We have this nice warm crate to stay in and we all gather in it together with our momma on nights like this. We heard through the grapevine that Mommy Jai's friend Bettye has a little heater she's turning on this weekend....and we've been thinking...a visit to Bettye might be in order! :)

Guess Who?

The Big Boy

Another photo from Bill trying out his new lens...."I'm very proud of the new lens and its ability to get sharp shots. The kittens are wonderful subjects. But we shouldn't leave out the big boy should we!"

Max loves his 50-cent yard sale stuffed football. It's his new favorite toy (other than the stuffed Garfield he takes to bed with him every night!).

Someone got a new camera lens....

...and it ain't me! LOL Bill got a new lens in today and he tried it out on the kittens. These are a few of the photos he took:

Oreo...with her mouth open as usual. :)

Beautiful shot of Nikko! The colors are SUPERB in this one!

Nikko again...I think she was in decision-making mode..."should I chase the string...or not?"

Here's Nikko on the prowl. Oreo's dad (at least the one I think is Oreo's dad) was visiting and I think she was stalking him. This is an excellent photo. I think the new lens Bill got does a very good job!

Look Ma...I can do tricks!

The unthinkable happened today.

I allowed Allyson to take my photo.

And tons of hail fell out of the sky shortly afterwards. (seriously!)

The Driveway

The driveway that I just finished cleaning all of the leaves off of is now littered again from high winds and rain. So much for my hard work!

Oreo Visits Inside the House

Allyson is sneaking the kittens in...one at a time. It's been raining here all day...so she brought Oreo in to "dry her off". (yeah, okay....LOL) After she was dry, she took a seat on my lap at my desk, but was looking for some kind of entertainment. Here, Oreo, how about a tray of Mom's new jewelry? Hmmm...not too interested.

Okay Oreo...you wanna try typing? I think she wants down.

Aha! Success...Oreo likes Mom's tape measure...that entertained her for about 10 minutes.

Then she passed some kitty gas and I decided it was time for her to get some fresh air (and me too!)

Oh, and we saw her Daddy tonight...actually we MET him. He is marked up just like her but short hair...a big friendly tom cat. He spent about 15 minutes here and then disappeared. He looks very healthy and well-fed, so I'm sure he's someone's pet around here. Oreo wasn't too thrilled with him though...she hissed at him.

I'd like to also say a special THANK YOU to the kittens' "Godparents" for a nice big bag of kitten chow they brought over last night. Food makes them very happy! :)

Tennessee Fall Foliage

Oh, the beauty you can see why you fly like an Eagle....

These photos were taken by plane, between Lexington and Camden TN.

Photos courtesy of my neighbor, Bill (you know...that super photographer I've mentioned a few times!) The original photos look even more stunning than these which came through email...WOWZA. The trees are AFIRE with COLOR...I love it!

The Food Bag is Empty

Um, Mom....

I think we have a problem...

There's nothing in this bag.

#86 Upside Down

Frustrated? Don't understand things? Fed Up? Pullin' your hair out? Nikko has the answer...

Sometimes the world makes more sense when you look at it upside down. (only a cat could be so ingenious to figure that out!)

So what's been going on here in Jackson, TN...well...I've been busy working on my jewelry, working Ebay, working other websites...just trying to keep food on the table for us and the furbabies. So I've been a little lax in my daily photo, and I guess I'm catching up all in one day.

The is still shining here in Jackson (but I hear we might have rain tomorrow).

The leaves are turning colors too (photo courtesy of my super-photographer-neighbor Bill!).

Oreo has been spending these warm fall days relaxing. Here she is lounging on Bill and Linda's bench. Looks like she is starting a conversation with Bill's camera. (wonder what she was saying???)

And then there's Rowdy...always into something, of course. Here Allyson captured him on Bill and Linda's bird bath. Apparently he has a fascination with it lately!

Aha! I think he has spotted a bird! (don't fall in, Rowdy!)

After a day of bird bath adventures, Rowdy was ready for a nap. Oh...but Allyson wasn't done with him yet! He doesn't seem to care too much either way.

Merry Christmas everyone! (just in case I get REALLY REALLY busy with all of my sales and don't post here again for a while...LOL)

Halloween Night in Jackson, TN

Just a few photos from Halloween night...

Allyson in her 50's girl costume...the poodle skirt we made turned out CUTE! Doesn't she look adorable?

Allyson and her Daddy, reluctantly posing for the camera...:)

At the church, I spent some time messing with our little bonfire...and of course had to take pictures. I love fire. Just love it!

A spooky blow up house thing they had for the little kids...(and some big kids too!)

Allyson and Autumn. Looks like Autumn has a bag of goodies...bet whatever was in there is GONE now! :)
