Leopard Cub ACEO

He's finally finished! After 5 days on the easel, I bet this little fella thinks I forgot about him. This leopard cub ACEO is #3 in a series of 5 art cards titled "Cubs". See them all on my big eye animal art website.

I have two left to complete in the series - both tiger cubs. I'll be starting on one of them today!

Cheetah Cub ACEO

It's been a while since I posted, I know. But I haven't been being lazy! :) I've been working my tail off, at my jobs and at my true love...my art. Recently I found some fabulous pieces of illustration board (with vellum), precut to standard ACEO art trading card sizes of 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". I bought one package, and it has 5 boards in the package. I decided to complete a series of 5 miniature paintings to try out this board.

First, let me say, I LOVE IT! I have missed creating art in miniature! And I love the feel of the illustration board. This first painting shown here is titled Cheetah Cub and is completed in Prismacolor pencils. It's the first in the series, which I've titled "Cubs". Keep watching my blog for the other 4...I promise I'll post them!

I've put the original up for sale on my website dedicated to my big eye animals.

ACEO Miniature Art Cards of my original paintings

This morning I completed the printing and assembling of ACEO prints I've made from my original paintings. Of course, these will be appreciated by ACEO collectors, but I thought it was also a good way to introduce people to my artwork on a smaller - and less expensive - scale. The prints are very close in detail and color to the original paintings...so for only $8 a customer can examine my art, the detail, as well as my service, before they choose to invest in an original painting. (Originals start at $100)

Not to mention, these miniature artworks (size 3.5" x 2.5") are cute as can be, fit in standard trading card albums, are affixed onto a stand-alone card, making desk or counter display quite easy, and they look absolutely adorable matted and framed and hanging on the wall!
